Aden, Ruth
A clerical librarian from 1923 to 1927 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 7).
Adler, Edna
A part-time clerical librarian from 1931 to 1932 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 8).
Allbright, Blance
A full-time clerical librarian from 1933 to 1935 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 7).
Amidon, Oak
A senior attendant from 1923 to 1924. Later became a branch librarian and department librarian in charge of the Sociology Department at the Central Library (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, pp. 2, 7).
Anderson, Dorothy
A full-time clerical librarian from 1921 to 1928 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 7).
Arrants, Anne
A senior attendant from 1924 to 1926 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 7).
Becker, Anna "Anne"
A senior attendant from 1932 to 1936(Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, pp. 2, 7).
Bergman, Gertrude
Former branch librarian at La Cienega Library. Replaced Eleanora Crowder as head librarian in July of 1946. Served until February 1, 1949, when she transferred to the Pio Pico Branch Library (Los Angeles Public Library, 1949, p. 5).
Brittan, Caroline M.
Became the first head librarian at the Vermont Square Branch Library in 1913. She was taken from the University Branch Library and given the job to head the newly-built Vermont Square branch. In 1916, she left the library in order to get married (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 1).
Brush, Doris
A clerical librarian from 1923 to 1924 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 7).
Bryson, Frances
Children’s librarian from January of 1925 to February of 1929 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, pp. 7-8).
Carter, Luceal
A clerical librarian from 1929 to 1936 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 8).
Carty, Jackson
A librarian who worked from May 2, 1949 to July 11, 1949 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1949, p. 13).
Cavanagh, Jessie L.
Former head librarian of the Moneta Branch Library who was appointed principal in 1921 after Emilie Jackson’s departure. She remained in the position until July of 1929, when she transferred to the newly-opened Felipe de Neve Branch Library (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 1).
Cordelle, Chesterine
A senior attendant from 1935 to 1936 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 7).
Crowder, Eleanora
Former branch librarian at the Mark Twain Branch Library from 1928 to 1945. Replaced Helen Spotts as head librarian on July 15, 1945. Was transferred to the West Los Angeles Branch Library in July of 1946 and became its head librarian in July of 1949 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1949, p. 5).
Douglas, Christine W.
Children’s librarian from 1922 to 1923 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 7).
Dustin, Harriet
A librarian from July 1, 1949 to August 31, 1949 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1949, p. 13).
Elliott, Mrs. Doyne
A former assistant branch librarian. In 1949, according to a report, she began serving in the Administration Department of the Central Library as chief aide to Anne Leidendeker, the Assistant City Librarian in Charge of Central Library Services (Los Angeles Public Library, 1949, p. 5).
Engstrum, Dorothy
A senior attendant from 1926 to 1927 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 7).
Fannin, Lois
Children’s librarian from 1929 to 1930 (Los Angeles Public Library, 1936, p. 8).
